CMAC 2021 Programming 

Programs have been modified to comply with Phase IV & Bride Phase Health & Safety Requirements and will focus on skill instruction, individual projects, shared learning and group instruction with safe distancing.

PROGRAM REGISTRATION DETAILS

Youth Program Registration Requirements:
 

  • $50 registration fee -- applied to the program cost* (*scholarships are available more below).

  • A completed Participant Release and Indemnification Consent, Medical Release, Liability and Photo Release form prior to the start of the program,  CLICK HERE to download form.

  • Compliance with CMAC Social Distancing & Other Safety Protocols During Covid-19  (Please review before attending or starting a program.)
     

Youth Program Costs:

Boat Building & Marine Ecology -- $500/per participant

Boating Skills & Marine Ecology -- $250/per participant

  - $50 Due at registration. Balance of payment due on (or before) the first day of program

  • Boating Skills & Ecology Program -- Southern Shore Yacht Club 6/28 - 7/3

    Southern Shore Yacht Club, 6401 S Richard Dr, Chicago, IL 60649, USA
    The one-week program, with the support of Southern Shore Yacht Club, will work with teens ages 11-15 years-old and learn boating safety, rowing, kayaking, the importance of protecting our Chicago rivers and Lake Michigan, water testing, and row or sail on Lake Michigan (weather permitting).

    Classes start July 12th - 24th (Mon. - Fri.) for two weeks (Lunches provided). Participants learn to build small wooden boats (see photo) work together and grow from group leaning. On Sat. July 24th from 9:30-Noon Boat Launch Day for an on-the-water experience.

Proram Schoralships

 

CMAC wants to make these programs available to everyone.  After the $50 Registration Fee is paid participants may request a scholarship prior to the start of the program.

To request a partial, or full scholarship, each participant needs to submit a short essay explaining why they would like to take the program.  Include your level of financial need.  Essays can be sent to Patrick@ChicagoMaritime.org or mailed to the address above.  Please note the participant’s name, age, program dates and location.
