Classes start July 12th - 24th (Mon. - Fri.) for two weeks (Lunches provided). Participants learn to build small wooden boats (see photo) work together and grow from group leaning. On Sat. July 24th from 9:30-Noon Boat Launch Day for an on-the-water experience.

Program Schedule:
July 12 - 24 (2-weeks) from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday -- (Lunch provided) at Southern Shore Yacht Club
Plus - Boat Launch Day on Saturday, July 24 from 9:30am - Noon -- Family and friends are encouraged to join us to see the teens to show off their new skills.
Program Details:
The Chicago Maritime Arts Center will provide all the materials, tools, and instruction and lunches are included. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty (as we will be working with permanent glues and paint) and sturdy shoes (no open toes). Chicago Maritime Arts Center (CMAC) - provides the tools, parts, materials and instruction for teens to construct Bevin’s Skiffs (11’ rowboats).
