About The Event
Chicago Maritime Arts Center
-Informational Meeting-
We will host a meeting of prospective volunteers and supporters at the Jackson Park Yacht Club on Saturday, April 7 from 4-6pm. At this meeting, we will review our 2018 schedule, introduce CMAC team members and divide volunteers into groups focussing on:
a) Teaching boat-building and STEM skills,
b) Recruiting kids for future programs,
c) Making or soliciting donations, and
d) Helping with administration and outreach
We hope to have one or more students from last summer's program at the meeting. You will also have a chance to meet members of our first teaching team who can give you an idea of how it worked for the kids and for them.
We greatly appreciate your interest in CMAC and look forward to seeing you again on April 7th. Light refreshments will be served.
